The Billionaire With Eyes Lifted Towards Heaven ~ Nigeria News > 30/01/2018

Last October, the Rose of Sharon Glorious Ministry International (RoSGMI) held its 1st ever national crusade at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The three day Christian crusade featured praise, prayers, healing and miracle sessions and the organisers stated it was a "tremendous success and without having a shadow of doubt had God’s presence." In a statement sent to THISDAY, RoSGMI also noted that "just like the theme of the crusade ‘Victory Unlimited’, numerous individuals seeking God’s intervention in areas of their lives received their miracles and seasoned the demonstration of God’s energy."

RoSGMI is Mrs. Folorunso Alakija’s vision. It began as a compact fellowship in 2004. Originally an offshoot of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos, the fellowship held its very first services inside Alakija’s residence. Now, it has grown into an interdenominational ministry.

In the course of the 3 day crusade, Alakija, who according to Forbes is worth nicely over a billion dollars, shed some light on why she decided to get started a Christian ministry by narrating a dream she had some years back.

In the dream, she saw herself in an old-fashioned lift, which had collapsible gates. Then she noticed that there was an individual standing beside her within the lift. It was a man that she could not recognise facially and she attempted not to appear. As the lift descended, from 1 floor to a different, she noticed that every single floor had distinct kinds of individuals, individuals with distinct sort of troubles. For the duration of the descent, the man with her also began to clarify the situation of the individuals they saw on each floor. She observed that the individuals on the reduced floors, particularly the ground floor, were in the worst conditions.

By the time they got to the ground floor, she noticed that these who have been there had no garments on in fact, they had no flesh, just bare bones. Abruptly, the nearest skeleton stretched out its arm and looked their way, as if to say ‘help me.’

"One could tell that, when, this have to have been a human getting," Alakija stated. "I will in no way neglect it it has left an indelible mark in my heart."

Then her companion seemed to be saying ‘over to you’ and abruptly, he disappeared. She spoke to a Pastor about her dream and he mentioned to her that the individual that was standing beside her was Jesus, and that what he was showing her was her calling.

She had one more dream where she identified herself on a green field with lush, attractive, soft green grass, but there had been lumps all more than and abruptly she noticed that the lumps began to rise, slowly, like a beating heart. In 2011, she went to Jerusalem and the Lord ministered to her to start off a monthly prayer retreat as an additional service to that which she had already began, which was a weekly service at RoSGMI. The ministry has given that grown from a group of five individuals that began in Alakija’s dwelling to a common membership of a minimum number of 350 individuals the month-to-month prayer retreat is attended by at least 480 individuals.

"The spirit of the lord is upon me," she stated, alluding to the Bible’s Isaiah 61. "I am right here to preach good tidings, to heal broken hearts, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and to provide these who are bound."

For the crusade, absolutely free transportation was provided via all major routes like Ikorodu, Obalende, Iyana-Ipaja, Sango, Ikotun, Ajah, Festac, Ajegunle, Satellite Town and Ikotun among other individuals, bringing individuals to and from the venue.

Speakers at the crusade had been renowned Christian ministers like Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye, Particular Assistant on Evangelism to the Basic Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God Apostle Charles Ndifon, General Overseer of Christ Really like Ministries International, Providence, Rhode Island, USA and Alakija herself. Gospel artistes who ministered in music were Efe Nathan, Buchi, Pastor Wale Adenuga and the Rose of Sharon Glorious Ministry Choir.

Despite the rainfall on the third day, the attendance surpassed the very first and second days, peaking at about 1,500 persons.

"We are grateful to God for multitudes that were blessed and for these who gave their lives to Jesus Christ as this was one of our quite a few expectations for the national crusade," a statement from RoSGMI stated. "A deaf and mute little girl that was brought to the crusade grounds by her father received her healing instantly for the duration of the prayer session. Among the several miracles Jesus did at the national crusade was the salvation of souls in interesting ways.

"Another young teenager who had been deaf from birth was touched by the energy of God and her ears were opened right away soon after the prayers.

"Like the lady in the bible who was diagnosed with the concern of blood, so was a woman who had been bleeding for the final three years. At the crusade grounds, she opened her heart, prayed, hands were laid on her and the bleeding stopped quickly.
